Why families trust KinooCare

Private by design

Each care circle is only seen by the people inside it. Your child's, family member's or dependant's information is never shared outside the circle.

Everything in one place

Calendar, health and expenses together, always up to date, so everyone caring for them sees exactly the same information.

Built for caregiving, not adapted later

Designed from the start for families across two homes, for people caring for an elderly relative, and for teams around someone with special needs.

A common situation

An elderly mother lives alone and turns down help from her neighbours, and her children, each busy with their own life, are left unsure how her days really look.

With KinooCare, the siblings share what they observe in one place and decide next steps together, without relying on crossed phone calls. The result is less "has anyone spoken to her today?" and more confidence that, even from a distance, no one is caring for her alone.

What the primary caregiver and the other caregiver see, at the same time

Documents & agreements

Your family member's documents and agreements kept in one place, for whoever needs them, without having to ask around.

How it works

  1. Create a circle

Create a circle around the person being cared for.

  2. Invite who cares for them

Invite whoever helps care for them: the other home, a family member, a caregiver.

  3. Share everything in one place

Calendar, health and expenses all live in the same place.

  4. Always see the same thing

Everyone always sees the same information, kept up to date.

How your data is handled

  • Each circle only sees its own data. We test this constantly, on purpose, trying to access other circles' data. The attempt always fails.
  • Every change is recorded, including who changed what and when. Nothing can be deleted or altered without leaving a trace.
  • Your password is always protected. It's never stored in a way anyone else could read.
  • Every connection to KinooCare is encrypted, just like when you access your online banking.
  • KinooCare organises and shares care information between caregivers; it does not replace professional medical advice, diagnosis or treatment.

Frequently asked questions

Does KinooCare replace medical advice?

No. KinooCare organises and shares care information between caregivers; it does not replace professional medical advice, diagnosis or treatment.

Is my health data secure?

Yes. Each circle only sees its own data, and we test this constantly by trying to access other circles' data ourselves. The attempt always fails. Every connection is encrypted, just like your online banking, and your password is never stored in a readable form.

Does it work for separated parents or co-parenting?

Yes, that's the original use case. Both homes see the same calendar, the same health record and the same expenses for your child, so nobody is left out of the picture.

How does coordination between two homes or several caregivers work?

You create a circle around the person being cared for and invite everyone who helps care for them, whether that's the other home, a family member or a hired caregiver. Everyone in the same circle always sees the same information, updated in real time.

How much does KinooCare cost?

There's no public price yet. We're in early access through a waitlist; anyone who requests access is notified as soon as a spot opens up.

Is it only for children, or also for elderly people and people with special needs?

It works for all three. There's a profile for coordinating children between homes, one for caring for elderly family members, and one for special needs care teams. Choose your profile at the top of this page.

Why use KinooCare instead of a WhatsApp group or a shared spreadsheet?

Because the information stays organised and visible to everyone at the same time, in one place, instead of scattered across old messages or a spreadsheet only one person knows where to find.

Who can be invited to a care circle?

Whoever creates the circle chooses who to invite: the other home, a family member, or a hired caregiver, for example. The only condition is that they actually care for the person in question.

What happens if a caregiver is removed from a circle?

They lose access to that circle's information. Like any other change, the removal is recorded (who made it and when), so nothing happens without a trace.

Does KinooCare only work in Portuguese?

No. The site and the app are available in Portuguese and English; you can switch languages at any time from the page header.

Is there a KinooCare mobile app?

There isn't a dedicated mobile app in the app stores yet. Until then, KinooCare works through your phone's browser, on any system.

What happens to my data if I cancel my account?

Account deletion happens in the KinooCare app itself, not on this site. Once it's done, your data is no longer accessible to the other members of your circles.
